The projects described here illustrate the extensive range of climbing
facilities now available from Rockworks.
Hartlepool
Borough Council

Rockworks winning design proposal for this unique outdoor project was
successful in combining a dramatic use of the natural landscape with a
highly realistic construction technique. Sprayed and carved concrete was
used to create eight free-standing boulders and over 600 square metres
of climbing surface.

The Boulder Park, currently the largest of its type in Europe, is designed
for beginners and experts alike and represents a new concept in the further
development of artificial climbing facilities.

environment with over 600 square metres of climbing at all grades. This
centre was chosen to host the final round of the British Indoor Climbing
Championships in March 2000, and was also awarded 'Best New Wall'(On The

The University
of Surrey, Guildford

Climbing
walls designed and installed within an existing squash court area to provide
a contoured bouldering area and a variety of lead walls, including an
interchangeable section, where the panels and wall profile can be altered
to create new challenges.
This climbing
wall is extremely well used and a good example of how an existing and
under used space can be transformed into a successful new sports facility.
