Rockworks climbing wall systems are designed to provide the most advanced range of options currently available. The range includes realistic, simulated rock surfaces and the dynamic geometry of modular competition walls. For maximum variety in route setting and continuous adaptability all climbing wall systems are equipped with a network of fixing points for interchangeable bolt on and inset holds.
This system can be used to create any type of climbing wall from free-standing boulders and towers to competition and lead walls. Every wall is uniquely designed to suit the clients requirements and an extensive variety of features which replicate real rock can be incorporated into the climbing surface. Bolt on and inset holds can also be included to complement the permanent features and provide continuous flexibility in route setting.
Plyform provides
the most versatile and cost effective climbing wall system. The climbing
panels are manufactured on an 18mm plywood base and are provided with
a variety of customised surface finishes. These walls also incorporate
a high degree of variability in the combination of surface features with
a network of fixing points for bolt on holds. Plyform climbing walls can be designed for all requirements from highly featured slabs for beginners to the smooth curves of an overhanging competition wall.
High-relief Plyform panels incorporate a range of large features including flakes, pockets, cracks and flowstone formations. Bolt-on holds can be fitted to these panels at an average density of 5 per square metre.
The Transform panels can be manufactured in both flat and curved units which when combined offer a range of climbing wall profiles to challenge all abilities. The panels are complemented by the addition of bolt-on holds and inset discs for extended variety and adaptability.
This is the simplest method by which to create a climbing wall. This cost effective system can be employed on any structurally sound surface, and involves the installation of a grid work of threaded sockets into which the holds can be fixed. Given suitable structural conditions a belay bar or lower-offs may also be installed.
Pupils at Selwyn junior mixed school,in the London Borough of Waltham forest, enjoy their external climbing wall with its striking mural of sea and mountain.
