St Ann's Leisure Centre - Rotherham

Opened in Autumn 2008 this dramatic climbing facility is constructed within a partially glazed tower rising above the entrance to the leisure centre. Rockworks have designed and constructed a highly realistic climbing buttress with outlying pinnacles, reminiscent of the famous desert sandstone towers of Utah, U.S.A.

The climbing wall incorporates auto belays and an abseil platform with climbing lines from 6m to 14m in height. This project has been a highly successful collaboration between the architects and the Rockworks design team in creating a truly unique climbing environment.
