About Us

Rockworks was established by artist/designers and committed climbers. From early beginnings in our first studio workshop our continuing passion has been to design and create products that would inspire the next generation of climbers.

Since building our first walls in the late 1980’s we have been involved in the early development of many specialist indoor climbing centres in the U.K. including the Castle (London), Awesome Walls (Liverpool) and the Glasgow Climbing Centre. The company is also founder member of the Climbing Wall Manufacturers Association, established to ensure the highest standards in safety and to contribute to the development of C.E.N standards which affect the industry. Years of climbing, design and manufacturing experience underlie the services we provide from initial planning and consultancy through to site installation.

Currently based in a specialist manufacturing workshop and design studio in the North East of England we are close to the unique climbing and bouldering of Northumberland and the nearby Lake District. Our specialist team of highly trained operatives are all experienced climbers and outdoor enthusiasts with a real commitment to providing a first class product to all our customers.
